From tradition to continuity
Over the years, Riko has developed into a vertically integrated group of
companies providing technical and technology-based products and services for different
stages of production in numerous industries and business sectors.
Our roots stretch back to the 19th century, when a sports and medical
equipment plant was established under the name of JOR in the small Slovenian
town of Ribnica, the cradle of the country's
entrepreneurship. RIKO - the Slovene acronym for “the Ribnica Metal
Working Factory” - was built on these original foundations. Up until
1990, the company was developing manufacturing technology for agricultural equipment,
including interchangeable towed agricultural machines, aircraft, municipal and
waste management facilities as well as extremely sophisticated high-tech
flexible systems.
In the 1990s, Riko shifted its focus from manufacturing to engineering.
With our range of products and services and as representatives of
Europe's most renowned
manufacturers we have become a long-term partner for many companies and
sectors, including automotive manufacturers in the former Soviet Union in the
process of modernising their technological processes. Thanks to our experience
and knowhow we have extended our area of operations to numerous markets that
have recognized the need for intelligent, integral solutions, as well as the
need to introduce efficient, state-of-the-art, eco-friendly technologies.
