As part of the construction of the low- and intermediate-level radioactive waste repository (NSRAO) in Vrbina near Krško, Riko has signed a contract with the Agency for Radioactive Waste (ARAO) for the construction and supply of a gantry crane and lifting equipment.
This contract marks the completion of the third and final major tender in the framework of the repository’s construction. The NSRAO project is aimed at ensuring the long-term and safe disposal of radioactive waste, contributing to sustainable waste management practices.
With our engineering expertise, we will ensure high-quality solutions that will enable efficient and safe handling of equipment at the repository site.
This significant milestone propels the NSRAO project closer to completion, further supporting the safe management of radioactive waste in Slovenia.
