Today we have
started work on the interstation section of the Podnart – Lesce Bled railway
line in the length of 10.69km. The modernisation of the Podnart – Lesce
Bled section will be partially carried out during the complete closure of the
railway line due to the Karavanke railway tunnel extension in the period from
October 2020 to July 2021, while the reconstruction of the entire section
between Podnart and Lesce Bled will be completed in 2022. It is planned to
complete the works on the public railway infrastructure site following the
maintenance process for public benefit.
The scope of the project includes the upgrade of the
railway line in accordance with European standards over a length of 10.69 km,
replacement of the track superstructure, renewal of the track substructure,
construction of the track drainage system, installation of track cables on the
line, renewal of the platform infrastructure in Otoče, Globoko and
Radovljica stations, rehabilitation of
Globoko and Radovljica tunnels, remediation of supporting and reinforcing walls and additional
reinforcement of slopes with gabions, replacement of overhead catenary wires
and supporting structures, rehabilitation of old moats and bridge structures, construction of level crossings, connecting
roads and multilevel crossings in the area of Podnart, Zaloš, Vrba and
Žirovnica, and implementation of noise abatement measures.
The work will be carried out in cooperation
with Kolektor Koling d.o.o., SŽ ŽGP Ljubljana d.d., Tegrad d.o.o., Iskra d.o.o, Obrt-oprema d.o.o., Mensel d.o.o. and others.
