The project is partly financed by the Cohesion Fund of
the European Union under the Operational Programme of Environmental and
Transport Infrastructure. The project includes the construction of the central
wastewater treatment plant Cerknica – Dolenja vas for a capacity of 12,000 PE.
As the general contractor, Riko will provide planning based on the tender
documentation, implementation of preparatory earth, construction, mechanical,
electrical works and equipment, supply of technological equipment, launch,
trial operation, and the execution of all finishings. The value of the project
is € 3,997,307.00 excluding VAT, or € 4,796,768.40 including VAT.
Riko will hand over the central treatment plant into
operation in summer 2014. During the execution of the project, the existing
wastewater treatment plant will remain in operation.
The construction of the central wastewater treatment
plant will reduce pressure on the natural environment, improve the quality of
surface and underground water due to the construction of a comprehensive sewage
system, reduce emissions into water from municipal sources of pollution,
improve the health and living conditions of the population, improve the
economic infrastructure to facilitate further industrial and other economic
development of the region, including the development of the residential
environment.
